Hey Maryland: Thanks For the Recruits

As the Maryland Terrapins visit the Assembly Hall tonight one player Bruce Weber will not have to worry about being ready for the game is Chester Frazier. Frazier played his prep ball in Baltimore but was never recruited by the Terps. Tonight he's out to prove they made a big mistake.

Does Bruce Weber ever have to worry about making sure Chet the Jet is up for a game? Lack of energy is never really an issue with Chester who is the obvious heir apparent to Dee Brown for the designation as the team's Spark Plug.

Chester isn't the only solid recruit for which Illinois has plundered Maryland. While Chester flew under the radar, Maryland (along with Notre Dame and Florida State) actually put up a serious fight for Arrelious Benn, the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation who plays his high school ball for Dunbar in Washington, D.C. (approximately 20 min. from the entrance to Maryland's campus). As the Domer and Terp fans wept and gnashed their teeth, Benn committed to the Illini Nov. 9 at the ESPN Zone in DC. Tupper has a great column about him here. Video below. Juice now has a huge target.

As we wait for next season: Go Illini! Beat the Terps!
